Michael Shim

Mike concentrates his practice in helping employers with employment law issues. Mike gained his broad employment law experience while working at the third largest labor and employment law firm in the country. Mike has extensive experience handling employment issues and served many companies of the top Fortune 50 U.S. Corporations, including: General Motors, Home Depot, Nissan, Ford and Dollar General. Mike has experience defending FLSA class action cases and employment discrimination cases in addition to advising employers with traditional labor related issues.

In addition to serving the needs of employers, Mike also serves as an Administrative Law Judge/Hearing Officer for the Chicago Park District and presides over Appeal Hearings related to employee terminations and suspensions. Mike is also a Workplace Investigator for the Cook County Forest Preserve District.    

Mike is a member of the federal trial bar and he is admitted to practice in Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.
