Sam began his legal career in the Cook County State's Attorney's Office in Chicago in 1992 where he prosecuted criminal cases. After his service as a prosecutor, he and his brother founded Shim & Kim in 1998.
Sam is a member of the federal trial bar and he is admitted to practice in Illinois, United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, and Executive Office for Immigration Review Board of Immigration Appeals.
Sam also serves as an adjunct professor at the DePaul College of Law.
Mike concentrates his practice in helping employers with employment law issues. Mike gained his broad employment law experience while working at the third largest labor and employment law firm in the country. Mike has extensive experience handling employment issues and served many companies of the top Fortune 50 U.S. Corporations, including: General Motors, Home Depot, Nissan, Ford and Dollar General.
